Memory Lanes Show Canceled 12/1/2006
The Memory Lanes show on Friday, December 8th has been canceled. Sorry to everyone who was looking forward to this show, the boys were. Hopefully we can get this one rescheduled for the spring.

Varsity Theater Show Canceled 10/13/2006
We regret to inform everyone that the November 11th show with Brokenheart Jones at the Varsity Theater has been canceled due to circumstances outside of our control. But no worries, you can still see the boys at Club Underground next weekend or upcoming at Mayslack's and Memory Lanes.

State Fair 9/3/2006
Karl and Jesse went on their annual trip to the Minnesota State Fair and had the chance to meet both Mary Lucia and Mark Wheat from 89.3 The Current at the MPR Building. What a couple of great people. The Current and their staff continue to support us and loads of other local bands! Cheers to The Current!
Capital Sons Are In 9/2/2006
Valleyfair and Drive 105 are holding a Battle of the Bands, usually we don't go for these type of competitions, but the prize is opening for the Ike Reilly Assassination at a Halloween show at Valleyfair (and we like Ike). The boys perform in round one on September 16th at 3pm. So if you were planning a trip out to Valleyfair, check the show out. Details (as they come) will be posted and mailed out.
400 Bar is Coming 8/21/2006
September 8th the boys hit the stage at the 400 Bar along with Frank Brownstone & Associates and Wannabe Hasbeens. This is going to be a huge show, not one to miss. Check out the shows page for details and other upcoming shows.

Return of the Northeast Art-a-whirl 4/21/2006
It's spring and the Northeast Art-a-whirl is back. Capital Sons had their first live show last year at Johnstock and will headline the neighborhood festival again this year. On Saturday, May 20th along with Terramara, Draper Daniels and many others, the boys will play a free, outdoor, all-age show at Johnstock. This is a great chance for you that don't get out for the late night shows, or if your not quite 21 yet. Bring the kids and a blanket, Music starts around noon and goes all afternoon. Some of you may prefer to see the boys play in a club on a Friday night... well here's your chance. Also helping to celebrate the Northeast Art-a-whirl Capital Sons will play The Great Art-a-whirl Music Bash at Club Underground with Maps of Norway, Ponofo and Gordon Globe on Friday, May 19th. Capital Sons on TC Muzique 4/18/2006
The boys are set to make their first television appearence on the local cable access show TC Muzique. For the few that don't know, TC Muzique has been on the air for about 18 years here in the Twin Cities and features tons of great local music on every episode. Capital Sons will be playing live on Thursday, May 11th at 8:30pm on cable channel 17. Sons and Daughters, set your TiVo!

First off, a big thanks to everyone who came out last Saturday night at the Fine Line. All the bands put on a great show. It was a great turn out and we filled all of the bins they provided for the Second Harvest Heartland food shelf. Way to go everyone!

It's a big show tonight! Rock for Rolls! Lots of food to be donated, lots of rock n' roll to be enjoyed. Come on down to listen to the sounds of Epic Hero, The Deadwoods, High on Stress, and of course Capital Sons! The doors open at 8:00, music starts at 8:30, Capital Sons hit the stage at 11:00.

Rock For Rolls 1/7/2006
We're kicking off 2006 with the "Rock for Rolls" Food Drive show at the Fine Line next Saturday. We're putting on a show to help support the Second Harvest Heartland food shelf. Along with Epic Hero, High on Stress and The Deadwoods, we will be collecting non-perishable goods at the door (monetary donations are welcome too). We have free tickets available here, so download and print out yours and don't forget to give these to all your friends. Good music for a great cause, so lets pack the house and fill some bellies too!

We started the new year off with more air play on 89.3 The Current, and we were also featured this week on KARE 11 News' "KARE Tracks". Miss Understood is starting to get some notice so keep the requests coming in!
